A political action committee made up of former Navy SEALs and other service members delivered a petition to Congress Thursday demanding the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the Benghazi, Libya, attack.
The petition from Special Operations Speaks was signed by more than 100,000 people who felt the Obama Administration has not adequately handled the attacked that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, his aide, and two Navy SEALs in September.
A State Department Accountability Review Board is investigating the attack, and Gen. David Petraeus, who resigned as CIA director Nov. 9 over an extramarital affair, will testify Friday before both the House and Senate Intelligence committees about what happened in Libya on the day of the attack.
On Thursday, Republican Arizona Senator John McCain introduced a resolution to create a eight-member Senate committee that would further look into the attack.
