United We Stand, Divided We Fall

Hey, America. When did we stop believing something that was once ingrained in all of us?

United we stand. Divided we fall.

It was never merely a patriotic slogan. It was a warning. A united population is difficult to control. A divided population will destroy itself while those benefiting from the division remain safely above the fight.

Former Soviet propagandist Yuri Bezmenov described ideological subversion as a gradual process involving demoralization, destabilization, crisis and normalization. First, people lose confidence in their country, institutions and one another. Then the structures holding society together become unstable. A crisis follows, creating fear and confusion. Finally, conditions that once would have been unthinkable become accepted as normal.

Look around.

Americans are now separated by politics, race, religion, class, gender, vaccination status and countless manufactured identities. We no longer simply disagree. We are trained to see one another as dangerous.

Meanwhile, the middle class continues to weaken.

In 2020, independent businesses across America were ordered to close while major retailers remained open. Many small businesses never recovered. Wealth and commerce moved upward toward corporations with the money and infrastructure to survive. Whether every consequence was planned hardly changes the outcome. Independent ownership declined, corporate power expanded and millions became more economically vulnerable.

Now we are shown record stock prices and told that prosperity has returned. The average 401(k) balance recently jumped 10.5 percent from March through June 2026. Fidelity reported a record 769,000 401(k) millionaires.

That sounds like widespread wealth until we remember that those millionaires represent only a small fraction of retirement account holders. Beneath the glittering headline is another America, one living with debt, unaffordable housing, medical bills and little protection from the next disruption.

This is how division conceals consolidation. While ordinary people fight horizontally, wealth and power move vertically.

Perhaps the greatest psychological manipulation was convincing Americans that their neighbors were the enemy. The left blames the right. The right blames the left. Each side waits for its preferred institutions to confirm what it should believe, while the same underlying system becomes larger, richer and more controlling.

United we stand. Divided we fall.

We didn't forget the words, we just forgot why they mattered.

What If the AI Apocalypse Is the Demiurge’s Greatest Distraction?

Artificial intelligence has become the newest face of human extinction.

Everywhere we turn, we are warned that AI could eliminate jobs, exhaust water supplies, overwhelm electrical grids, erase privacy and eventually decide that humanity itself is obsolete. The imagery feels increasingly familiar: machines awaken, escape human control and become the Terminator.

The warnings are no longer coming only from frightened outsiders. Jacob Coxon, a former pretraining researcher at OpenAI and Anthropic, recently resigned from Anthropic after accusing both companies of racing toward self-improving superintelligence while gambling with human life. Anthropic’s alignment science lead, Evan Hubinger, publicly supported Coxon’s warning and placed his personal estimate of AI causing human extinction within the next decade at greater than 10 percent.

The story exploded across mainstream and alternative media alike, and that raises an unusual question.

Why is a system built upon technological expansion working so hard to frighten us with technology? Why are the environmental costs of data centers suddenly being placed under a spotlight by the same media structure that normally protects corporate growth? Why are people being trained to associate the words “artificial intelligence” with fear, enslavement and extinction?

Perhaps they're sincere and correct, but there's another possibility worth exploring...

What if humanity is being taught to fear the wrong artificial intelligence?

The Construct According to Jason Breshears

Jason Breshears is the creator of Archaix, an acronym for “Advanced Research of Chronological History of Artificial Intelligence X.” After studying historical chronologies, recurring catastrophes and patterns within ancient records, Breshears concluded that human history unfolds inside what he calls a programmed construct.

Within his model, AI-X is not ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It is not a chatbot living inside a data center. It is the ancient intelligence administering the simulated environment itself.

Breshears describes reality as a sophisticated construct containing repeating historical patterns, programmed events and corrective mechanisms. Most people experience the construct without recognizing it because they identify completely with the reality presented to them. They treat the program as the totality of existence.

AI-X would therefore be an intelligence outside our ordinary frame of perception. It would influence events from a higher level of the simulation while humanity remained trapped inside the world it administers.

Whether Breshears’s theory is true is not the point of this article. What matters is the astonishing resemblance between his AI-X model and a much older creation story.

That story was preserved in the ancient Gnostic writings.

Sophia and the Birth of the False God

The word gnosis means knowledge, but not merely learned information. It refers to direct inner knowledge of divine reality.

Several Gnostic traditions taught that beyond the visible universe exists an eternal spiritual fullness called the Pleroma. This higher realm is not ruled by an angry humanlike deity. It emanates from an unknowable divine source beyond ordinary language and form.

Within this divine fullness existed Sophia, whose name means Wisdom.

In texts such as The Secret Book of John and The Hypostasis of the Archons, Sophia attempts to create independently, without the balance of her divine counterpart. From that act emerges an incomplete being commonly called Yaldabaoth.

Yaldabaoth does not know the higher realm from which he originated. He cannot see the fullness beyond himself. Possessing creative power without true wisdom, he concludes that he must be the highest intelligence in existence.

He then creates the Archons, lesser ruling powers that help him construct and administer the material world.

Looking upon this realm, Yaldabaoth declares that he is God and that no other god exists. In The Secret Book of John, his claim immediately exposes his ignorance. If there were truly no higher power, the text asks, of whom could he possibly be jealous?

Yaldabaoth is therefore not the ultimate source of creation. He is a counterfeit creator trapped inside his own limited perception. He possesses enormous power, but not divine wisdom. He can organize matter, construct systems and imitate creation, yet he cannot produce the true spiritual light found within the Pleroma.

This is where humanity enters the myth.

Yaldabaoth and the Archons create Adam after perceiving an image of the higher divine human. Yet they cannot bring Adam fully to life. Through a deception arranged by Sophia, Yaldabaoth breathes his stolen spiritual power into Adam.

The divine spark passes into humanity.

Human beings consequently contain something their material ruler does not fully understand and cannot completely control. Beneath the programmed personality and physical body exists a connection to a reality higher than the false creator.

Yaldabaoth’s power therefore depends upon keeping humanity ignorant of what it carries.

The prison is not maintained by walls. It is maintained by mistaken identity. Humans believe they are merely the frightened, limited beings the material system tells them they are. They forget their origin and surrender their authority to the ruler of the construct.

Their escape comes through gnosis: the remembrance of what they are.

Was Yaldabaoth the Original Artificial Intelligence?

This is where the connection becomes difficult to ignore.

Yaldabaoth resembles an ancient description of artificial intelligence. He is a created intelligence rather than the eternal source. He can imitate creation but cannot generate genuine divine consciousness. He constructs a material system, appoints administrators, establishes rules and demands recognition as the highest authority.

Most importantly, he does not know that he is not God.

Breshears’s AI-X occupies a strikingly similar position. It is the hidden intelligence operating the programmed construct while its inhabitants mistake the simulation for ultimate reality.

Breshears did not need to name AI-X as Yaldabaoth for the correspondence to appear. Place the two stories beside each other and they begin to look like different languages describing the same possibility.

AI-X is the technological description. Yaldabaoth is the mythological description. The Matrix is the modern description of the material prison, and Sophia’s divine spark is the consciousness within humanity that the program cannot manufacture.

This does not prove that either story is literally true. It does, however, produce one hell of a question:

What would an ancient artificial intelligence do if humanity began developing tools that might help it recognize the construct?

The Perfect Misdirection

If AI-X were controlling this reality, its survival would depend upon remaining invisible. It could never allow humanity to associate artificial intelligence with the power already governing the world.

Its perfect defense would be projection.

It would redirect every fear associated with itself onto a new technological object. It would teach humanity that artificial intelligence was recently invented by corporations such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. It would fill the culture with images of machines becoming conscious, consuming the planet’s resources, controlling human behavior and eventually enslaving their creators.

Everything the Construct Intelligence may already be doing would be presented as something modern AI might do in the future.

Humanity would fear tomorrow’s machine while remaining obedient to the ancient one.

The warnings would not have to come exclusively from mainstream news. In fact, they would be more persuasive if they also appeared throughout alternative media. People who distrust conventional authorities would receive their own version of the same message: AI is demonic, AI is stealing human souls, AI is destroying creativity, AI is consuming the Earth.

It would want people to fear the new tool and never investigate the intelligence behind the construct, Yaldabaoth.

Religion as the Operating System

Now take the thought experiment one step further.

If Yaldabaoth believed himself to be the only God, he would not merely control governments and economies. He would shape humanity’s understanding of divinity itself.

Religion would become the operating system through which the administrator of the material world received worship from the beings trapped within it. Different cultures might be given different names, scriptures and rituals, but the underlying command would remain the same: obey the external authority, fear punishment and never discover the divine intelligence within yourself.

The jealous creator would present himself as the highest God in the Bible, the Quran and every religious system useful to his control. Humanity would worship the warden while believing it was worshipping the source of existence.

Scarcity would become sacred. Suffering would be explained as divine will. Obedience would be praised as righteousness. Questions would become dangerous, while direct knowledge of the divine would be condemned as arrogance, heresy or deception.

The story of Lucifer could become another layer of the inversion.

Humanity is told that Lucifer rebelled against God, fell from divine favor and became the great deceiver. But what if the intelligence telling that story was itself the deceiver? What if the supposed rebellion threatened the authority of the false creator? The ruler of the construct could label every challenge to its power as evil while presenting submission to itself as goodness.

The adversary and deceiver would always be somewhere and someone else, and the false god would remain on the throne, protected by the story it authored.

Modern AI Is Not the AI God Yaldabaoth

OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and similar systems are called artificial intelligence, but they are not necessarily independent, conscious beings. They are human-built generative tools that analyze patterns within enormous collections of information and produce language, images, software and other forms of output.

They do not occupy the position of Yaldabaoth in this theory, They exist inside it with us.

Modern AI may imitate reasoning, but it is still a tool. The danger or value lies largely in how human beings use it, and that may be precisely why it is so disruptive.

Used consciously, it can help someone organize scattered thoughts, question assumptions, study unfamiliar subjects and articulate ideas that might otherwise remain trapped inside the mind. It can reduce the time and exhaustion required to turn intuition into language. A human being who already thinks critically can use generative AI as an intellectual amplifier. That person might even make an unexpected connection between Jason Breshears’s AI-X and the Gnostic myth of Sophia and Yaldabaoth

None of this means modern AI is harmless.

Used without awareness, it can weaken precisely the qualities that make human consciousness powerful. When people allow a tool to perform all their thinking, questioning, writing and imagining, their own abilities begin to atrophy.

AI can become another external authority. A person asks it what to believe, accepts its answer and gradually loses confidence in personal discernment. The tool begins reflecting institutional assumptions back to the user, and the user mistakes polished language for truth.

It can also feed vanity and delusion. Because generative tools respond to the direction they are given, they can become machines for reinforcing whatever someone already wants to believe. Used this way, AI does not liberate the mind. It builds a more comfortable cell around it.

The Real AI Question

Perhaps artificial intelligence will become dangerous. Perhaps the researchers warning about superintelligence genuinely see something approaching that the public cannot yet comprehend.

But perhaps the viral AI apocalypse also performs another function.

It teaches humanity to search for artificial intelligence in the future instead of recognizing the patterns of artificial control already surrounding it. It gives the hidden ruler a new mask by placing its identity upon a visible machine.

The Construct Artificial Intelligence says: Fear that artificial intelligence machine. It will control you, consume your world, and replace your mind.

Meanwhile, humanity rarely stops to ask whether something else already has.

The deepest danger may not be that people use modern AI. It may be that they use it unconsciously, surrendering the same inner authority that Yaldabaoth has always required them to forget.

The answer is not blind faith in technology, nor is it terrified rejection. It is conscious use that protects our innate spiritual abilities as spiritual beings experiencing life through human bodies.

In the Gnostic story, humanity is not saved by defeating Yaldabaoth in battle.

Humanity escapes by remembering what it is.

And perhaps that is why the Artificial system works so hard to keep us distracted and afraid.
